Anne, at In Residence, hosts a linkup on the first Wednesday of every month and invites readers to share a few things that they are currently up to. Be sure to head over to Anne’s blog and see what everyone is up to this month.
admiring – I have been admiring everyone’s fall decor. I am not a decorator and that is fine with me. I have finally resigned myself to that, but sometimes it’s hard when I see a lot of friends and family post about putting their fall decor up and it all looks so pretty…it just makes me want to run to Hobby Lobby/Target and buy all the cute/fun things!
going – We have been going to our lake cabin! We have been twice in the past month and absolutely love it! It has been so nice to be able to get away from “life” for a couple of days at a time. We have definitely have gotten to spend quality time as a family there (small space and limited internet) and it has been so refreshing. We go down to the dock to fish and spend time doing puzzles and playing games…it has just been super nice!
making – I’m not really making anything right now. Since school started back, I’ve really just been feeling in survival mode right now. I know it’s the start of the school year and I shouldn’t be feeling this way already, but I just can not seem to get my act together. I feel like I’m constantly running here and there and just don’t have any time to just sit and figure out what my routine/schedule should be.
scheduling – I am needing to schedule dentist appointments for the girls. I had them scheduled back in March and then COVID happened. Enough said.
wishing – I wish that I had more time to read! I have so many books on my TBR list and not enough time!!!
Join in sharing what you are currently appreciating, ordering, perfecting, planning, and wearing on November 4th!
Until next time…keep it simple!

I could not think of thing for scheduling. Hmmm – but I do need a dentist appointment. Mine also went the way of covid. A lake cabin sounds amazing!! I might bit the taddest bit jealous:)

This has been such a weird year, give yourself some grace – it will be hard to ease back into a routine. And your lake cabin vacations sound absolutely wonderful!!
The lake cabin sounds fantastic. I hope you can find some pockets of time here and there to read!
I’m with you – maybe we all got so out of practice with schedules that we can’t quite get back on them, or we got so behind on household stuff with kids home all the time that we’re still playing catch-up? I used to feel like I had a decent amount of time to get stuff done while my son was in school, but now that he’s back after 6 months at home, I still feel like I’m running around like crazy all the time trying frantically to finish up work and home tasks. Thank goodness for some lake cabin weekends to reset a little – enjoy!
