Happy Thursday! After writing this and knowing I wanted to post it once I got my blog up and going again, I found the blog “Running with Spoons” and found this link-up and knew immediately it was something I wanted to incorporate into my blog. I love the randomness of it and how it’s just a “brain dump” of sorts. So here goes!

My little girl turns three this week. THREE?!?! Where has the time gone? Just in the past couple of months she has grown up so much and I know when the new baby gets here, she’ll seem even bigger. I don’t know if I’m ready for her to be so big already. It is fun to see her grow up and change, but I miss those little snuggable/cuddly moments too.
I wonder what it will be like with a second baby. How will Emmalyn adjust, how will Robert and I adjust? Am I ready for sleepless nights again? Emmalyn has recently just started sleeping through the night in her bed and it is going to be hard to start all over again, but I know it is worth it!
I’m working on getting prepared for this baby. With Emmalyn, I was working on passing my CPA exam and once I found out I passed, she came two weeks later and I had nothing prepared. So I am doing my best to be better prepared this time (well…as much as you can be prepared for a newborn).
I am more anxious about this one then I was with Emmalyn. Which is weird because I would think it would be the opposite. I would think I would be more worried/anxious about the first one not knowing what to expect and more laid-back about the second one. I think for me, knowing what I should be expecting and knowing how much can go wrong so quickly scares me. I’m doing my best to trust Jesus, but it’s really hard this time. We’ve had some anxious/stressful moments with this pregnancy and I think that hasn’t done much to alleviate my nerves either. But I can’t do anything to change what will happen, so I just need to trust God and let Him take care of it.
Well, thanks for letting me share my thoughts with you. These are things that have been on my mind lately and I just wanted to get them out somewhere.
I will share pictures from Emmalyn’s birthday and her party sometime soon.
Until next time…keep it simple!
